On a sunny Saturday afternoon at Canyon Raceway, Chad Boat ran his first race of 2005 in the 600cc Modified Midget class. This race was part of the Winter Series races at Canyon Raceway and was a non-club race.

Chad started his heat race on the outside of Row 2 and took the lead coming out of Turn 1 on the first lap. He drove away from the field, leading all 8 laps. Kiley Fellars finished in the 2nd position, followed by Kyle Shipley in 3rd.

Chad started the Main Event on the outside of the outside of Row 2. By the end of Lap 1, Chad had moved into the 1st position and led wire-to-wire. He took the checkered flag for his first Main Event win of 2005. Kiley Fellars finished in 2nd followed by Kyle Shipley in the 3rd position.

In the winner’s circle, Chad thanked his crew and sponsors and said he was looking forward to having a successful 2005 season.
